The 2 section prepare to leave for Afghanistan, and Georgie struggles to decide whether or not she should go, due to having flashbacks of Elvis being killed. She supports new recruit Mimi, who is struggling to adjust to how fast paced the army is. Georgie encourages her to call her parents, but when Georgie leaves, Mimi does not call them.

Georgie is caught in the crossfire when another attempt is made on Inspector Chowdhrey's life, forcing her to re-examine her feelings for her captain. With Chowdhrey's son Sumon still missing, Georgie persuades James to call in special forces. A daring mission is conceived, but 2 Section find themselves in a deadly shoot out with the drug gang to recover Sumon and halt the yaba trade.

As the camp is hit by a cholera epidemic, 2 Section are tasked with protecting Inspector Chowdhrey who is now a key witness in bringing down the leaders of the drug gang. Horrified when a gruesome message is sent demanding his silence, the Inspector fears for his family's safety and refuses to cooperate. When Georgie suspects that Barsha knows more than she previously let on, she hatches a plan to persuade Inspector Chowdhrey to make a full statement. However, it's not long before disaster strikes.

2 Section have the camp on lockdown as Inspector Chowdhrey explains that the refugee route might be being exploited by yaba dealers, a local drug coming over the border from Myanmar. When Georgie meets Maya, a sex worker and yaba addict who is being treated at the clinic, she starts investigations of her own.

The team struggles to meet Bones's expectations, but the new leader of 2-Section threatens to send one of them home and bring in another medic, putting Georgie's place at risk. The section are assigned to work in refugee camps to help the influx of refugees coming in from Myanmar, which have been set up by Barsha Chowdhrey, the wife of the local police chief. Inspector Chowdhrey is known for his hatred of corruption in the region and at a gala held for the Brigadier, Bones spots a suspect package placed underneath his chair, prompting him to leap into action.

With the training exercise now having become a fully fledged rescue mission, Georgie and James are compelled to use every ounce of cunning and training to evade capture while they wait to be rescued. As Bones and his special forces unit lead the effort to rescue them without attracting unwanted attention, Georgie and James, helped by local teenager Ezra, must overcome seemingly insurmountable odds. As well as evading capture, Georgie and James must also re-evaluate their professional relationship after James makes a stunning confession - a confession that not only forces Georgie to re-examine their relationship, but also forces James to ask if army life is still for him.

Recovering after the ordeals of Afghanistan and Nigeria, Georgie and 2-section find themselves in Belize on a jungle training exercise. Wanting to prove herself a capable leader, she leads a team against James to settle a score, but is forced to step up when events take a turn for the worse. 2-section retreat back to base to raise the alarm, while Georgie and James must work together to evade the wrath of a lethal drug gang who are operating close by

Georgie and the others wait to be rescued so a counter-offensive can be launched.

Georgie throws herself into her work training Nigerian forces in the fight against Boko Haram, only to find herself pitched headlong into danger.

An exhausted 2 Section retreat to Kabul only to be ordered to support Elvis in a final mission to capture Omar.

2 Section are in Afghanistan on a covert mission deep in the heart of the country. Georgie and Elvis are thrown together in extreme circumstances.

When some children are abducted from the village, Georgie leads a rescue mission to Kathmandu.

2 Section are deployed on a humanitarian mission to Nepal after an earthquake, where Georgie's patience is tested by a new recruit.

As Georgie continues to suffer from the effects of her recent kidnapping ordeal in Kenya, she throws herself into the last-minute wedding plans with Jamie. However, before the big day, Georgie is given one more assignment which lands her in greater danger than ever.

Worried about Georgie's state of mind, Jamie seeks out Captain James to find out whether she is in any danger. Meanwhile, Georgie reels after hearing the news that Abu is alive and closer to her than she realises.

Exhausted, Georgie can't wait to get home to fiance Jamie and her family, but the forces need her help first. Meanwhile, a desperate Elvis is forced to come clean, which shocks Georgie her to the core.

Captain James and 2 Section are horrified to hear what has happened, and the situation soon takes a turn for the worse. Will the team get to her in time?

Lance Corporal Georgie Lane, an experienced army medic, joins Captain James and 2 Section on a humanitarian tour to Kenya. She has promised her fiance, Doctor Jamie Cole, that she will return home soon to marry him. 2 Section are posted to a refugee camp near the border of Somalia, and as soon as they pull into the camp, Georgie jumps straight to work when an IED explodes, harming many refugees. When aid worker Kicki is kidnapped, Georgie's determination to find her lands her in great danger.

As she returns home from Afghanistan, difficult questions rain down upon Molly Dawes. Who will live and who will die? Can she ever pick up the pieces? Brave choices beckon for Our Girl as she faces her biggest challenge yet: how will she face her own future?

The platoon is bored in Camp Bastion, preparing to withdraw from Afghanistan. Emotions ride high as both Captain James and Smurf declare their love for Molly, who worryingly finds herself at the centre of an illicit love triangle that compromises army regulations. Trouble finds Molly one last time as she becomes entangled in a raid against the Taliban - and soon the entire platoon are sent on a final terrifying mission as a consequence. Not one of our three heroes can afford to take their eye off the job, not for a single moment, or disaster will surely strike. James, Smurf and Molly know the rules. But isn't love stronger than army regulations?

Molly returns home on rest and relaxation but she finds that her life and perspective on the world have changed beyond measure since she has been away. Her family can see that they are growing apart. When she visits fellow squaddie Smurf, they bond over their shared difficulties in this new domesticity and both wish they were back in Afghanistan. As they grow closer, Smurf reveals he has fallen for Molly. Unfortunately her affections lie elsewhere - back in Camp Bastion with the captain. This is a fact about which Smurf knows nothing.

Molly's friendship with little Afghan girl Bashira grows, they are totally soul sisters! But this new-found emotional bond takes a more serious turn when Bashira warns Molly about an impending attack. Should Molly trust the child? Is she all she seems? Meanwhile Molly's brilliance at her job begins to attract the attention of Captain James, who might be harbouring an attraction to her. What Molly can't quite figure out is - does he fancy her too?

Molly is over-the-moon to be sent to Afghanistan as a medic on one of the army's final deployments. But when she arrives she knows she needs to prove herself to her new platoon. Things take a bad turn when she fails to cut it more than once, but worse than that she has to deal with an old-flame who is part of the regiment and who makes her life harder than it should be. She gets no help or support from her commanding officer, the haughty Captain James, who doesn't seem to notice just how brilliant she really is at her job. The challenge is on for Molly Dawes to prove her worth to him. So when an unforeseen event puts a soldier's life in danger Molly gets to prove she's more than one of the boys, she's our girl.
