The Grand Tour

In the remote African country of Mauritania, trio follows in the footsteps of the legendary Paris-Dakar rally. Instead of bespoke Dakar racers, the boys must complete their journey in cheap modified sports cars.

Jeremy, Richard and James head to Central Europe on a road trip nobody has ever thought of, in cars nobody would ever dream of. This epic 1400-mile journey takes them from Gda?sk in Poland, through Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia. They sample some Soviet style Formula 1, are attacked by deadly archers, recruit a famous racing driver and take part in a spectacular Fast and Furious climax.

In their first post pandemic road trip, Jeremy, Richard and James head for the icy wastes of the Scandinavian Arctic Circle. At the wheel of their three favourite rally cars the boys embark on a catastrophe filled adventure that takes in Cold War sub bases, frozen lake race tracks, crashes and ski resort chaos as they drag their homemade houses from the coast of Norway to the Russian Border.

In this second Lockdown Special, the trio dive into the bizarre world of French car culture. On an epic road trip starting in the Welsh hills, they dish up a hair raising mountain climb, bomb defusals, propellor powered cars, helicopter stunts and the most thrilling race of their lives before reaching the English Channel for a jaw dropping medieval climax. And a soupcon of French art house cinema.

Confined to the UK by Covid, Jeremy, Richard and James embark on a Lockdown Special to find out just why American 70s cars never took off in Britain. At the wheel of a Cadillac Coupe De Ville, a Lincoln Continental and a Buick Riviera in stunning Scottish surroundings, the three hosts undergo many mishaps and adventures before embarking on one of their toughest challenges yet.

The intrepid trio find themselves back on four wheels for their latest adventure. Armed with sports cars, Richard, James and Jeremy think they are in for a cushy road trip as they arrive on the exotic island of Reunion and race on the world�s most expensive piece of tarmac. But a bizarre challenge propels them to Madagascar where they must tackle the world�s toughest road.

In the first of a series of feature length Specials, Clarkson, Hammond and May take a one time only break from cars and set out on an epic journey across Cambodia and Vietnam...in boats. This adventure packed voyage sees the hapless trio experience thrills, spills and genuine danger as they try to navigate their way through the world�s most iconic waterway - the Mekong Delta.

In the final episode of the series, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May pay tribute to one of the bedrocks of British life, the medium-sized Ford saloon, starting with the Cortina of the �60s and �70s, moving on to the Sierra of the 1980s and ending with the Mondeo, a model that has achieved something no other car in history has managed.

In a special episode, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are dropped in the vast wilderness of Mongolia, then provided with some basic rations and all the flat-packed parts they need to build a vehicle which will provide their only chance of escape to civilisation before they starve or strangle each other.

Jeremy Clarkson drives two re-born Lancias, a Delta Integrale and a Stratos, James May looks back at the history of the legendary Porsche 917 racing car, and Richard Hammond joins Clarkson to revolutionise air travel with two concepts for motorised hand luggage.

The Grand Tour tent is in Dubai for the final show of the season in which Jeremy Clarkson pits his old fashioned Volkswagen Golf GTI against James May�s electrically-powered BMW i3, Richard Hammond learns how to drift, James is forced to take part in a weird sport called winching, and the Bugatti Veyron drag races against the Porsche 918 Spyder.
