Martin is kidnapped and has to fight for his life. Schweppenstette tries to save his son while his "wife", Nicole, and Max face an imminent threat in Frankfurt. Tina and Ingrid reveal Tischbier's biggest secret.

Everyone comes together in Leipzig. Martin tries to prevent Lenora's attempted assassination. Valdez and Brigitte try to stop Lenora with Rose's help. Schweppenstette closes a deal at the Leipziger trade fair. Fritz wins investors. Tina discovers the terrible truth about her visitor.

Lenora asks Fuchs in Italy, the HVA's new home in exile, for help. Fuchs tries to find a peaceful solution between his former agents, but Martin and Lenora have other plans. Tina receives a mysterious visitor. Martin becomes suspicious of Nicole and her true intentions.

Martin and Nicole follow Lenora, who is seeking shelter with Grigore in Romania. Schweppenstette uses HVA methods to draw a dogmatic state banker to his side. Fritz's company is taking a surprising turn.

Martin arrives in Frankfurt, in the midst of preparations for a major terrorist attack. Desperately, he tries to prevent the ignition of a bomb, and in the process encounters his aunt Lenora. Fuchs and Dietrich are preparing to turn their backs on the GDR forever.

When terrorists put Martin to a radical test, he has to face his past. Lenora confronts Fuchs and sets off for Frankfurt with the Romanian agent Grigore. Schweppenstette comes to terms with Beate and his new married life in Frankfurt, and impresses his new managers with his knowledge of the GDR.

International secret services interested in Martin offer him the same options: either to be locked up, hired or killed. Eventually, he receives the order to infiltrate a West German terror cell. Rose visits Lenora in prison. Schweppenstette reluctantly accepts a mission in Frankfurt.

Martin is supposed to prevent further liberal reforms from being passed by the GDR government. Following his own plan, he gets caught up in a chain of events that bring the Berlin Wall down. In a fateful encounter he meets Nicole, Max's teacher. Lenora has become radicalized in prison. The HVA must act now.

Lenora is grounded and demoted after the cruise ship plan is uncovered.

Martin is finally able to return to the East and see his son for the first time.

Martin has positioned himself for a trade back to East Germany but needs to prove his loyalty to the BND before they accept him as a double agent. Meanwhile, Tina is incarcerated in STASI prison with no idea where her family is.

Lenora returns to East Germany with Rose, determined to develop top-secret communication technology for the ANC in a secret operation called Operation VULA.

Martin returns to West Berlin.

Brigitte tries to convince Martin to work as a double agent.

Badly injured, Martin wakes up in the Libyan desert, where he meets Samira and Khaled, and uncovers an imminent terrorist plot. Meanwhile, Lenora arrives at an Angolan hotel.

Gary Banks double-crosses Martin and Lenora, leading them headfirst into a proxy conflict at an Angolan oil refinery. Seriously injured in the fighting, Martin is abandoned by Lenora.

Martin reluctantly agrees to help Lenora.

Banished for his sins in 1983, Martin wallows in limbo until his Aunt Lenora conscripts him into her plan to drum up hard currency abroad.

?Fear of a pre-emptive nuclear strike against the West has become a possibility at East German HQ, while in the West, war game Able Archer reaches its peak. Martin is now persona non grata on both sides of the border.

As preparations for NATO's nuclear war game "Able Archer" intensify, Martin receives an order from East Germany that cements his fears about their paranoia. He must warn his Western superiors about the misunderstanding.

When Moritz returns to his undercover life in West Germany he is drawn into Alex Edel�s fatal plans. Recovering in a room at Charite, Moritz encounters Annett for the first time since he left. He wants to stay home now, she tells him to go West again. Much is left unsaid. She is now in with Schweppenstette, who visits him next and insists, in a tense, father-son coded argument, that Moritz return to his post. Meanwhile Alex Edel has taken General Jackson hostage and forced him, at gunpoint, to film a seething denouncement of US military plans in Western Europe. Lenora follows the whole thing over the wire from the St�V. But by the time Moritz and Kramer get there to break them out before the Police arrive, the damage is already done.

Martin is sent back to East Berlin, but is forced to deliver a seemingly harmless package to a mysterious man in West Berlin on the way.

When the bug is found in Linda's desk, NATO is placed on high alert. Linda arrives to visit Martin, who scrambles to turn her loyalties around.

While at a NATO conference in Brussels, Martin gets his first assignment: to seduce and bug the head security analyst�s secretary, Linda.

Martin is ordered to break into the hotel room of a high-ranking NATO official and steal a top-secret report.

23-year-old Martin Rauch is sent to West Germany to act as a spy, gathering intelligence for East Germany's Secret Service.
